He wears it well… There’s a certain distinguished quality about Luke Ditella, yet we know him to be quite the bad ass underneath it all. Here are the reasons why we think this dude is worth an extra special BABE ALERT:
1) This New York native/bi-coastal babe is back and forth from SoCal to NYC partially for modeling, but he also owns a vintage motorcycle surf shop in Leucadia, CA called Seaweed & Gravel. Builds and rides them. Yeah…’nuff said.
2) Don’t let the beard fool you…This babe is a beast on a surfboard. He’s been featured on countless surf media sites such as Surfing Magazine, Eastern Surf Magazine, Surfer’s View, and Adventure National Geographic.
3) He looks damn good in a suit + tie.
4) and even better in a vintage moto jacket.
5) He’s a family oriented, down to earth, animal loving devoted friend and one-woman-man type of guy.

Speaking of raw….Loving this look book recently released by emerging designer, Vejas Kruszewski. The unexpected composition, obscurity, and detail shots sprinkled throughout this newsprint style look book give me a really strange feeling, and if you haven’t picked up on it yet, STRANGE = GOOD in our book.
The simplicity, rawness, and spontaneity that comes through in this Swiss-born photographer/documentarian’s work are the qualities that I was immediately drawn to when I met David sometime last year. In a time where so much of fashion photography has become this scary mess of over-styled, overly contrived, way too over conceptualized work, David is a naturalist at heart and believes in the small moments that make up a grand and beautiful scene. The dirt, the sweat, the grime…and the pretty girl with sad eyes and a determined smile – these are the moments David captures on film through his travels and editorial work while at home in Paris and New York. Here are some highlights from his portfolio and a few from his story featured in photogenicsMAG Issue No.5. – M –
The UK just really knows how to make ‘em. My friends are a savvy bunch, especially when it comes to music, and I was introduced to King Krule back in the fall during an al fresco post-dinner wine session on a blanket in front of my bandmate’s apartment complex. You know…on some real adult shit. These conversations somehow always revolve around music, and if we digress, it always comes right back ’round to music again, and pretty soon everyone is wine-drunk and dreamy-eyed, reliving how James Blake’s live bass made us feel that time he played at the cemetery.
I came across this really intimate video of King Krule filmed next to the LA river, and I was overcome with this overwhelming feeling that I could just NEVER be that cool. However, hearing a 19-year-old who is wise beyond his years slay a really simple, stripped down version of his solemn track, “Centimentality,”- just him and his vintage rhodes – gave me a sense of vicarious confidence even if only for that moment in time.
Oh…you know, just bringing everyone up to speed on the many, many amazing faces we have kickin’ it on our board. We can’t wait to have Dani in town, but in the meantime, peep some highlights from her portfolio…it’s a good one!!!
