Our favorite candy-colored rainbow child in the DAZED DIGITAL Model Behaviour Series interview “Meeting the Kaleidoscopic-Haired Model” by Harrison Boyce.
So, I just fell in love with our boys Morgan and Justin in the new Halfman Romantics SS’13 video campaign, “Boys and Girls Meet Skateboarding.” It’s Cali flavor at it’s finest, and though I’m still rocking winter gear (my fave), I’m slightly tickled by the idea of running around in big shades and a sundress thanks to this ditty. Let’s “Venice” out for a minute, shall we?
ISAAC‘s back in town, and we couldn’t be more jazzed. I was even able to get her on an editorial for Photogenics Mag!! Shot by Nicole Anne Robbins, featuring our boy Dakota which will be coming out with the release of Issue Four at the end of this week. All I have to say is she was like a dream to style…legs for DAYS and a killer face! I couldn’t have asked for a better model.
Welcome Back, Isaac!!! What a BABE.
Ummm…It’s 2013. Dude, you guys…it’s 2013!!! When I was a kid, I pictured straight space-age shenanigans, and I seriously thought that The Jetsons would be the norm…teleportation and flying cars, and FIERCE futuristic fashion. But alas, people are still fighting over stupid shit, so how can we really be that far advanced? But I digress. Every new year we marvel at how fast the previous year flew by, but 2012 in particular flashed before us like lightning. Let’s be real here. It’s probably because of all the RADNESS we got ourselves into.
For our first post of the year, I thought I’d start off with a little BABE ALERT action to get your icy winter blood pumping. MASHA RUDENKO‘s back in town and looking better than ever. During her last visit, she did some sweet editorials: Riders Magazine with Jason Lee Parry, the cover story for Oyster Magazine with Zoey Grossman, Flaunt Magazine with Kate Martin, and has since shot for Marie Claire, Vogue, Grazia Germany, and Turkish GQ. She’s a regular muse for photographer and fine artist Peter Eaton Gurnz and has a passion for the art world that fuels her obsession for travel. In other words…Bad.Ass.Chick. Welcome back, Masha!
MAD PROPS are in order, here. My girl really pulled it out for this one. The concept and art direction are none other than the cosmic brain child of Nicci Arone. The package contains a small piece of outer space: a tektite called MOLDAVITE (known as the gemstone that fell to Earth as a result of a meteor collision nearly 15 million years ago which possesses high vibrational energy and is a powerful chakra opener at the heart). Yeah, I know it’s a little New Age, but so are we, and all we want to do is spread good energy and love in the new year.
So here’s to “vibing out” and getting creative together in 2013!!! See you on the flip side.
It’s insane how much creativity goes down here at the agency…all the hard work and man hours, the fruits of which usually go straight into the hands of our clients and agency friends in other markets.
So, I want to take this opportunity to show off a project that we are extremely proud of: The Photogenics 2012-2013 Promo Book, a showcase piece using editorials and photos from a shoot we produced in-house. True Story: we did everything from the photography (by our Agency Director, Phira Luon) down to the styling (by yours truly) and layouts with Nicci’s help. We shot a total of 16 girls in 2 days at my loft in Downtown, styled out with some ridiculous designer pieces courtesy of Forward by Elyse Walker and CLD Stylehouse. The whole team came together including Agency Owner, Nicole Bordeaux, and BOOM! A full 125-page collaborative effort, printed and bound; a tangible token of our blood, sweat, and tears. The teamwork over here is off the chain!!!
Here’s the fun part: We’ll be randomly choosing 10 readers to receive a hard copy of the Promo Book. All you have to do is look to your right and subscribe to the Photogenics Blog by Jan. 5th, 2013 to enter!
Last week, I caught up with model/blogger/photographer/skater/social media bomber, Jesse Somera to find out if he could contribute some of his paparazzi skills for the blog, and he kindly obliged. He just recently took some behind-the-scenes shots of our models at a Mike Piscitelli short film shoot for Monster Children, and I jocked them so hard I had to share. The short film should be releasing pretty soon, but in the meantime peep these candids, and make sure to check out Jesse’s blog: Mad Thirsty.
