GoodFood Catering was founded by its present owner Phillip Weingarten, over 18 years ago. A Los Angeles native Phillip  grew up in and around the kitchens of his father's numerous restaurants and delis. While studying design and planning during two years of college, Weingarten found himself struck with wanderlust and seized the opportunity to travel extensively throughout Europe. The experience heightened his childhood passion for food and was the catalyst for his next big move: enrolling in New York's Culinary Institute of America. After graduating in 1984, Weingarten went on to hone his skills in the kitchens of Los Angeles' top restaurants L'Orangerie, Cha Cha Cha, Cafe Mambo, and Helena's as well as several of New York's most renowned dinning rooms.

GoodFood Catering provide high-end catering services to a variety of clientele in West Los Angeles, including many notable celebrities and corporations, in and out of the Entertainment Industry. GoodFood is known for their quality and creativity. Their repertoire includes servicing major fashion photography shoots. GoodFood Catering have been headquartered for many years in Culver City at Smashbox Studios. The extensive private catering division, caters, designs and manages everything from elegant small private dinners and editorial shoots, to full-blown movie premieres, weddings and upscale corporate events.
